CONTRACT FOR SERVICES
AIRFRAME AND/OR POWERPLANT COURSE
AND INSPECTION AUTHORIZATION
 
SECTION I. Parties:
(a)    This Agreement is entered into by and between: AVIATION COURSES, LTD., hereafter referred to as Vendor, and Participant, identified as follows:

SECTION II. General Obligations:
(a) The Vendor shall provide training to participant, but in no event shall training commence prior to full payment of tuition. Participant shall have a MAXIMUM of thirty (30) days to complete ALL phases of training, i.e., knowledge training and computer testing, any hands on training if needed, and taking the oral & practical examinations.
(b) By signing this contract, you understand that this is an accelerated course, and with proper study on your part, we guarantee your passing the written/computer examinations. Your main responsibility will be to study as directed. Your progress will be closely monitored, and if you fall behind, you understand and agree that there will be a monetary penalty for not finishing the class as agreed.
(c) If not completed in the thirty (30) day time limit AND you do not give a bonified reason for not finishing, the program will be cancelled at our option; For reinstatement, a fee of $200.00 must be paid to Aviation Courses Limited.
(d) In the event of a real emergency requiring you to suspend your participation, you must return all materials that are the property of AVIATION COURSES LTD., and you will be placed in a one-year suspension, within which time you may complete the course without penalty. Upon returning to the program, you will be assessed a carrying charge of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00). At the end of one year, if you have not arranged to resume your studies, you will be dropped from the program with no refund of tuition.
(e) No refunds will be given except in the case of failure of AVIATION COURSES LTD. to provide services as set forth in this agreement.
(f) In the unlikely event that you do not pass one of the tests (General, Airframe, or Powerplant), AVIATION COURSES LTD. will continue to instruct you until you pass that portion of the overall test. If, after further instruction, it is determined that you cannot pass that portion of the test, at our option, we will refund the portion of the tuition for that particular failed test.
(g) For our classroom students only, ALL textbooks are the property of AVIATION COURSES LTD., and you are expected to return ALL books at the completion of the various segments to AVIATION COURSES LTD. DO NOT MARK IN THE BOOKS IN ANY WAY. THERE WILL BE A $50.00 CHARGE for any book containing markings not authorized by AVIATION COURSES LTD.
(h) For our classroom students, failure to not attend a regularly scheduled class or meeting there is a $50.00 charge. If you find you cannot attend for whatever reason, call the instructor BEFORE 7:30 AM of the day of the missed class and the assessment will not be charged.
(i) Our refund policy is clearly stated on our website.
(j) The deposit is non-refundable due to our sending the first segment of the overall course (FAA General Study Guide, FCC Element 1) immediately upon receipt of the registration and the deposit. The first segment is sent automatically to each student in order to quicken their study and testing while in class, thus shortening the overall time and lodging expenses incurred.
(k) All remaining tuition is expected to be paid on the first day of class. If a problem arises and the student has a legitimate reason for dropping the course, the remainder of the tuition will be returned if written request is received within 3 business days from the signing of our contract and no further course materials are used.

SECTION III. Financial Summaries:
(a)
Training Costs:
(1) COMBINED A&P COURSE $1,000.00 (4) ADD ON AIRFRAME or POWERPLANT $400.00
(2) POWERPLANT and GENERAL $700.00 (5) INSPECTION AUTHORIZATION $900.00
(3) AIRFRAME and GENERAL $700.00
(b) The following are average fees only: Computer examinations are $165.00 unless otherwise stated by the FAA approved computer testing center. Oral & Practical fees are $1000 and up depending on geographic area.
(c) AVIATION COURSES LTD. is responsible for course content and your passing all written/computer examinations (General, Airframe, Powerplant, Inspection Authorization) only. We do not and cannot guarantee that you will pass your Oral and Practical examinations. We will direct you to a list of FAA Designated Mechanical Examiners for your review and selection at your discretion.
SECTION IV. Signatures:
(a) By signing this document, you hereby agree to all terms and restrictions herein and agree to hold AVIATION COURSES LTD. blameless for any representations not stated herein. AVIATION COURSES LTD. reserves the right to change or modify this agreement at any time deemed appropriate.
